Take a Break 19

Rick Warren asks questions how God’s view of us inspires us to view ourselves in light of His love. Warren teaches that God is all about changing our identity, despite our culture’s view that our identity is only rooted in genetics and our environment. I am tempted at times to think fatalistic ideas, that life is determined with little outside intervention. But God’s Word strongly indicates that our Creator is active in changing events and primarily us. Our holy is not to go with the flow but to be bold in glorifying Him.

A couple of quotes from Francis Chan in his book, Crazy Love:

“Can you worship a God who isn't obligated to explain His actions to you? Could it be your arrogance that makes you think God owes you an explanation?
Francis Chan,

‎"Do you know that nothing you do in this life will ever matter, unless it is about loving God and loving the people he has made?
