I’m trying to overcome my habits of independence and self sufficiency. I grew up thinking that I need to handle life in my own and it was a weakness to ask for help. But following Christ is a life of surrender. The more I acknowledge my weakness, my vulnerability, and ask for Him to live in my life, my walls of independence break down. I want my sons and my grandkids to be better people than I’ve been. To do that, I need to admit my mistakes, tell more stories regarding the lessons I’ve learned. I hope it helps them and helps me to grow deeper.
