As Mighty God, Jesus will judge all of us, each one (Revelation 18:8, 10). He will sit on His eternal throne and reign in great power and authority (Revelation 11:15–17; 12:10). Every creature in heaven and on earth will bow down and worship Him. Heaven will ring with the shouting: every person will hear the shouting, singing and praise. No one will be deaf. “Hallelujah! Salvation and glory and power belong to our God” for He was slain, and He alone is worthy “to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise” forever and ever (Revelation 5:12–13; 19:1)
“Let’s think about that name for God, ‘Mighty God’, here in Isaiah 9:6. His name shall be called, this child, this son given to us. His name shall be called mighty God. Let that soak in. This is not a normal son, a normal child. Oh, this is God in the flesh. This is the astounding miracle of Christmas. You think about it, I would argue the most astounding miracle in all of the Bible, like greater than the resurrection from the dead. Greater than calming wind and waves, or turning loaves of bread and fish into enough food for thousands of people. Like those things that Jesus did make total sense if he is God.” - David Platt
