The opening sentence in this reading captures it all - “Jesus doesn’t just give you what you need; Jesus is what you need.” Our longing for something better, loneliness in a group of friends, or the emptiness of pursuing worthwhile goals are signs of our need for Him and His presence. It’s also our inner desire to be truly at home with Him in heaven. We are citizens of another place, exiles traveling through this time and place.
