The thing that hit me was that our lives are to be a blessing to others. The Bible is saying over and over that our lives are not to be just about us, but to reflect who God is. We are mit be mere consumers protecting our resume and investments, like Lot. We are to be generous in our leadership like Abraham the sermon on the Mount teaches a far different way to live than what is emphasized in our world.
