Path 1

Matthew 21 documents what Jesus experienced as He entered Jerusalem. But His determination to fulfill what He was all about is evident as He provokes controversy with tradition and practice. He wanted to  a recognized and noticed, much different than His previous approach. The crowds welcomes Him but He provoked anger in the temple. There was no middle ground for the bystander. You either got caught up in the crowd or you knew that Jesus was not an ordinary man. Should it be any different today?  Are we caught up in the crowd of many to minimize what the crucifixtion  was and is to us? Or are we truly following Jesus?  Let’s pray that our Easter celebration is a time of deep reflection, recalibrating what we are all about.

If they had connived a scheme, and Christ had not been raised from the dead, where would have been the hardest place on the face of the earth to convince anyone? In Jerusalem.” - Josh McDowell
