Our world is filled with many tangents to real meaning and purpose. The illusion making our own kingdom of power and wealth often isolates us from others if went generous. Employers and managers who are tyrants are never approachable. Employees who are negative and complaining rarely get the promotion. Paul’s wisdom to be generous may change who we give to but it changes us as we see the needs of others. Isaiah’s eyes were open to see the dangers of tangents that Lea’s away from a respect and awe of God. As we grow in our perspective of God’s love and power, we are changed.
