Tests and trials are difficult to understand, and hard to endure. Paul could have been angry and bitter that he was in prison but he used his time to build the church through his letters to churches. I want to have the attitude of Father Raniero Cantalamessa. Win or lose, no matter what others may think, whether I understand ir not, may God be honored. Despite the worst of times in Jerusalem’s history, Jeremiah stood for hope and prayed for his friends. He wanted everyone to repent and depend on God, but the chaos. May you and I be like Paul and Jeremiah.
