It is easy to imagine life as a walk without a road map. There is no way to be prepared for what challenges we find along the way. I’ve had students say “I’m big a planner. I’ll just find out what happens in my life as it happens!” There is some truth to that but the letter to the Hebrews indicates a far different approach. When you and I ran our race together in Broken Bow, I was half way prepared, not as much as you. Training ourselves for the challenges ahead takes a disciplined approach. Developing the mindset that there is more to life than a consumer driven life is so important. Living people and influencing others for the good is a legacy I want, far more than accumulating stuff.
