How do you respond when your good friend is struggling to stay alive? Why do committed followers of Christ followers suffer so much pain? Wanting to encourage and support, I’m frustrated with my lack of control and helplessness. There doesn’t seem to be anything I can do but pray. But God hears my praying and agony in merely watching. Jesus suffered, allowing Himself to be helpless on the cross, even though He was and is the Creator and Kkng of the universe.
