The mystery of how seeds sprout into seedlings with roots is hidden from our vision. Ag scientists may have some clues to how the process works but not why it happens miraculously. There are so many miracles taking place in agriculture and human life! The miracle of a new birth, regenerating a life that honors our Creator, is equally a mystery. No one can take full credit but God. Somehow many in our culture think that we need to force morality and politically be correct all the time, depending on the group we are with. But our Triune God is changing lives one by one, families one by one. May we have our eyes and ears open to His kingdom moving, practicing His presence, expecting Him to work mysteriously.
“It’s not the task of the church to change the world by legislative force. It’s the task of the church to be the world changed by Christ. This is revolutionary in a way that conventional politics never can be.” - Brian Zahnd
“The farmer does not know what makes the seed sprout or grow or ripen. “He does not know how” (Mark 4: 27). It is a mystery. He only knows that the earth produces the growth. Although he cannot explain the process, he trusts the process and repeats it every year, knowing it will produce a harvest.” - Excerpt, Following Jesus: Discipleship in the Gospel of Mark by Steve Langford
“One of the most accessible ways God reveals Himself is through the created world. The fine-tuned laws of physics, the intricate design of ecosystems, and the breathtaking beauty of a night sky all act as quiet signals from Home. Scientists across generations, from Isaac Newton to Francis Collins, have observed how the remarkable order and intelligibility of the universe imply a Mind behind it.” - Scott Sauls
