One quality that is lacking in so many leaders is integrity, the stamina and perseverance to do the right thing without duplicity. Chuck Swindoll discusses the character of Noah and the building of the ark, taking 100 years to build. He completes the project with complete obedience despite the ridicule and persecution. God saw the evil in the world and but was patient to begin anew through Noah. Noah was consistently a lonely voice with no converts, building a door to the ark that would close when the rain began. The screaming of the people to be let in when the flood began must have been heartbrakk g, but he knew what God wanted. So we must be consistent and persevering- despite the surroundings and mockery. 1 Peter 3/3 says the same thing in Peter’s day, as the church dealt with the Roman Empire.
