No one has a complete understanding why each of us have traumatic or horrific stretches during life. The pain and suffering some endure is beyond explanation, other than the ripple effects of sin embedded in culture, families or individuals. Jesus experienced it all and He empathizes with any emotion we may experience. Our key response to it all is to cling to Him, who is our hope and sources of strength. Even during trauma, He will not leave us. Even though we have a hard time distancing ourselves from the past or present, He is with us.
