Knowing how to live in a chaotic divisive world takes wisdom. One wise conclusion is that we cannot navigate our culture with independence and ‘I’ll do it myself’ attitude. We must depend on the Holy Spirit to guide us through good times and messy times. We are in the world, but not of the world, because our citizenship is Heaven. Our primary goal is to reflect the character of Jesus, not whatever is trendy. Communicating the gospel by our words and actions is only authentic when we are relying on Him.
