Pleasing with God to show mercy is the right thing to do when we encounter injustice, trauma, or oppression. The closer view we have of someone’s crisis that is beyond any person’s control, the only response is to pray bold and courageous prayers. When one of our sons was going through a horrible time in his life, I could only break down in tears and plead with our Father. Other times, grief and loss has brought an unusual but special time of praying. But I’m guilty of not becoming upset about some issues to pray more boldly.
