The people we encounter are not accidental events. Perhaps they are God’s appointments but also learning opportunities to demonstrate love and understanding. Each encounter is a training appointment for the next appointment. .
Parents and spouses are being trained to demonstrate love and faithfulness to each other, treating one another with patience and respect, resolving disagreements with grace, supporting one another in hardship and not being drawn into inappropriate relationships with other people. ‘Many claim to have unfailing love, but a faithful person who can find?
Another training area is by drawing out other people’s thoughts: ‘The purposes of the human heart are deep waters, but those who have insight draw them out’
Proverbs 20:5-7
The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water,
but a man of understanding will draw it out.
Many a man proclaims his own steadfast love,
but a faithful man who can find?
The righteous who walks in his integrity blessed are his children after him!
