Elijah is an example of man who listened to God, despite the wicked culture and the belligerent leaders, Ahab and Jezebel. Hiding in refuge, totally dependent upon God, listening for each promoting, was the lifestyle he developed. He waited for the moments God needed him to be bold and courageous on the frontlines. Elijah did not seek to be heard or self promoted. He listened and waited until the right time. May you and I live for those moments when our Father maximizes our readiness and preparation.
