How spiritual forces influence our health

The danger of thinking too much about the power of evil is not wise but there is a danger of not being on guard with prayer. It seems that something negative takes place after a mountain top experience with God’s presence. Evil is always wanting to undermine growth in Christ, with strategies to disappoint, discourage and destroy. But growth in Christ involves repentance, renewal, restoring rebuilding, and regeneration. Miraculous change can happen in a moment but May also involve a process of uncovering past mistakes, sin, being victimized or institutional power.

Matthew 11:28-30

[28] Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”

Jesus knew the difficulties of our world

Hebrews 5:11-14

Warning Against Apostasy

[11] About this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since you have become dull of hearing. [12] For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you need someone to teach you again the basic principles of the oracles of God. You need milk, not solid food, [13] for everyone who lives on milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness, since he is a child. [14] But solid food is for the mature, for those who have their powers of discernment trained by constant practice to distinguish good from evil.

We cannot afford to rely on simple thinking - but we are to grow deep in our relationship with Him.

Spurgeon. “Do not think it unspiritual to remember that you have a body. . . . The physician is often as needful as the minister.”  It is wise to seek help, to recognize our need for discipleship, a church that cares for us,  pastor who teaches the Bible.  We need all the help we can gather to filter truth from twisted information.
