Renovation 6

God’s amazing grace is far more amazing than we can imagine.  Willard’s comments jumped out to me:  “ The greatest saints are not those who need less grace, but those who consume the most grace, who indeed are most in need of grace—those who are saturated by grace in every dimension of their being. Grace to them is like breath.”

Growing in grace is acknowledging our need for it, regardless of the circumstances. When I try to fix a problem, dilemma, or

Predicament with my self sufficient attitude, I become more entrenched in my arrogant independence but the more I realize how much He loves me, and how much I need Him, I surrender to Him in humility. He is gentle, patient, and waiting for me. May we search for His kingdom and His righteousness grace is the currency of His business with us.

“There are no formulas—no definitive how-tos—for growth in the inner character of Jesus. Such growth is a way of relentless seeking. But there are many things we can do to place ourselves at the disposal of God, and “if with all our hearts we truly seek him, we shall surely find him.” - Dallas Willard, Renovation of the Heart: Putting On the Character of Christ
