Oh how God wants to change how we emotionally respond to life. We cannot control many factors that we encounter but we can change the way we respond. Our personal identities for each of can be molded by what we have experienced, good and bad. But our Father is in pursuit of us, to transform us into the likeness of Christ, to not be conformed to the standards of our culture, or even the standards of many professing Christians. I’m learning that I cannot be driven to respond to any standard that is man made, but I need to be called by the Spirit to be the likeness of Christ.
