Humble and lowly

 Isaiah 57:15 - “For this is what the high and exalted One says— he who lives forever, whose name is holy: “I live in a high and holy place, but also with the one who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.”

Oh, Father, we are in awe of You, the Creator of the universe, that You would even consider living with a sinner who is repentant of tele wayward life. You are holy and pure, involves with every work that You have made. You not only see every detail of Your creation, but You are working all circumstances and situations according to Your plan. Palm Sunday reminds us of how the King of glory would rise a donkey in a journey to be executed on our behalf. You endured the worst this world could offer, despite Your righteousness and integrity. It is amazing ghat You desire to have a relationship with us far more than we often desire knowing You. We cannot praise and honor You enough. Enable us to live in a way that reflects who You are. 

Proverbs 11:2. When pride comes, then comes disgrace,

        but with the humble is wisdom.

Isaiah 2:17.  And the haughtiness of man shall be humbled,

        and the lofty pride of men shall be brought low,

        and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.

1 John 2:16.  For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride of life—is not from the Father but is from the world.

Praying:  Oh, Father, You are the One to be praised and glorified. Forgive us for placing human authority, earthly power and possessions, and prestige ahead of Your authority. We pray for our leaders that they will receive wisdom to make decisions that honor You and help everyone under their responsibility. We pray the same request for ourselves that we will care for those under our care with Your wisdom. Open our eyes and ears to Yiur kingdom, that Your righteousness will prevail. Forgive us for elevating ourselves as if our knowledge and power can solve the world’s problems. Protect us from the evil that would love to derail our Hope in You. May You be elevated by our efforts, words and behavior. May You be honored through our prayers. Amen.
