We are fortunate to live in a culture that does not persecute our faith in Christ. That may change as our cultural values change. Sometimes we may be shunned or excluded for the life we live and for our values but that norm is not to be threatened for our lives. It does not seem fair that good moral people would have to suffer for their beliefs but I’m reminded that we live in a broken sin gripped world. Life will not be perfect until Christ returns. It’s easy to live like a fool but the costly results can be catastrophic. Learning to live with wisdom is a huge investment far beyond our imagination. What a legacy we can leave if we live like Joshua, without fear but with courage because we live by what God has documented for us.
