I’ve struggled with the idea of achieving versus believing. In the past I’ve thought that believing the right stuff leads to achievement and accomplishment. But how much of the world population suffers due tk a lack of resources, regardless of belief. Many are born into a family with harsh realities even though they may all have faith. The way of Jesus is nit more wealth and power. Following Him is a far different way of living life, depending on Him as our Bread of life. He provides what we need each day as we trust Him, regardless of our circumstances and chaos of the day. He pardons us and provides purpose with an eternal perspective.
God intervenes in a person’s life, regardless of the situation. The Bible is brutally honest about the raw and cruel effects of sin. It doesn’t portray life as all beauty and open doors. Jephthah was a perfect example of calling a person out of a horrible background to do something good.
