Few in our nation really grasp what sacrificing your life for freedom means. After reading books like “D Day” or the “The Longest Day”, both describing the American invasion of France in World War 11, I get a glimpse of what it was like. To sacrifice your life for someone else or tge principles of freedom is the ultimate. But Jesus, the Creator God, humbling Himself to become one of us, only to be a sacrifice, is the ultimate. Our response is to love Him by the way we live.
