Psalm 7 -10

Seeing injustice and unfair treatment is easy to identify, especially by children. Their eyes are very perceptive to what is fair and what is not. One of the biggest questions in life refers is why bad things happen. How can evil actions go unpunished?  Why does God allow suffering if He is full of love?  How can innocent people be abused and victimized in such a calloused manner?  But God intervened in history to demonstrate His love by experiencing the cruel execution and the brutality of injustice. He knows what it is like to be victimized. Through His suffering we have hope and an eternal perspective that is incomparable.

“Suffering invites us to place our hurts in larger hands. In Christ we see God suffering – for us. And calling us to share in God’s suffering love for a hurting world. The small and even overpowering pains of our lives are intimately connected with the greater pains of Christ. Our daily sorrows are anchored in a greater sorrow and therefore a larger hope.” - Henri Nouwen
