It seems like our whole culture operates on comparison and competition. That is good when it comes to capitalism or athletics, but not good at times with emotions, family life, or with one’s view of self. The Lord is Creator of all things and has sees value in each person. His love is intense and it is perfect. His love purifies and cleanses me from all unrighteousness, helping me to be accepted. No matter what event, problem, or conflict, God still loves me. There is no rejection with Jesus! His calm presence is a deep peace that overrides my anxiety.
