Why do bad things happen? I remember every detail as a seven year old, my three year old brother drowned in a farm stick tank. He had fallen in while reaching for something. I asked God over and over why this had to happen. But we live in a broken world with many events that are not right. God’s presence is with us, despite chaos and turmoil. Our longing for better things to come is ingrained in our hearts. We may not understand nor know the answers to our why questions but we know the One who will NEVER leave us.
