From a human point of view, these prophecies and fulfillments are absolutely astonishing. No human in their own power could live a life like Jesus and make sure each prediction came true. But to our Creator and Lord, all of history is playing out what he has intended while experiencing the consequences of our sin. He will bring absolute good out of the chaos and evil in our world. I can get absorbed with the divisive news but I should never allow what is happening around us to diminish the hope we have in Jesus
The verbs to “know” and “believe” and “be persuaded” are liberally sprinkled throughout the New Testament. Faith and confidence are regarded as norms of Christian experience, not as exceptions.
