If we try to live by the standard of good works, how much is good enough? Trying harder leads to guilt and shame or an attitude that I’m much better than the next guy. I’m not God or the judge, but the gift of salvation is followed by a desire to do good and be the best possible person through God’s Word and the leading of His Spirit. Our salvation is Him working in us and our surrender to Him. The message of the gospel is simple but surrendering our lives to Him can be difficult
