Romans 12:1-2 came to mind in reading this. It seems that conforming to the world’s standard for relationships is a divisive stand off. Several conversations have been initiated by the other person saying “What’s your stand on ….” I do not want to get sucked into a vortex of negativity. Rather I’d hope to steer the conversation to what is good and high reputation, so that we can get to know each other better personally, rather than a position statement on issues. I wonder if each church made a determination to disciple each church attender to follow the great commission and the two great commandments, what difference would be made in the world. If every disciple making effort reproduced disciple makers, how would our culture change? Let’s be the change, Nick.
