Following Christ is not an easy task. The New Testament has strong language that presents a radical way to live. Have we made our faith too early and ignored the tough words of Jesus? He said there is a cost to discipleship, Jesus Himself challenged everyone to count the cost. Denying ourselves sounds radical in our ‘me’ driven culture. He wants us to have the confidence that comes from knowing the cost is yet discovering that He is worth it. His love demonstrated on the cross is not a symbol or just a good story. His love is real in the here and now, worth everything.
