After reading Psalm 145, gratitude seems to leap out of the verses by proclaiming how great God really is. As we stand in awe of who He is, we are humbled and filled with thankfulness. Gratitude is an overflow of worship, and it accompanies worship. Maybe it’s being intentional with worship our Father, not slapping ourselves on the back for our safety, accomplishments or how all we have it. Perhaps a better word is surrender, giving ourselves to Him, letting go of our past, our mistakes, and good ups.
