I’ve heard the argument that because of God’s generosity and grace, He will continue to forgive us no matter how much we sin. However, if we don’t have an appreciation for His grace, and the sacrifice Christ made, maybe we haven’t repented at all. It’s important to not be judgmental of what is happening in a person’s heart, but repentance leads to a changed life. True worship and awe of Christ leads us to be different than we were. Not that we won’t sin, or have the desire to go back to our old ways at times, but repentance is surrender, giving up what we were.
