It seems like our culture is moving toward hard hearts, with less empathy over all. One good thing about small town living is that the community rallies around those who are hurting, overlooking differences. But as Christ followers, our witness needs to be caring for others without prejudice. The apostle Paul crossed boundaries to bring others to Christ. The church globally, regardless of denomination, has been known for starting hospitals, schools, and colleges throughout the world. Like Amos, we need to have hard feet to cross the road or the ocean to reach others. May he break down our walls and boundaries.
