The inner character of a person is their true strength. The Bible teaches that we are TJ strive to be like Christ, pure in our motives and actions. Our world does not use such language because everyone wants to do their own thing. Anyone who talks about holiness is viewed as ‘holier than thou’, putting themselves on a platform of legalistic judging others. I wonder if we all had the goal that Nicky talked about:
It has been said that everyone has three lives – a public life, a private life and a secret life. Holiness is about living an integrated life, rather than a dis-integrated one. Holiness is where there is ultimately no difference between our public, private and secret lives and no difference between what we profess and what we practise. Holiness is linked to wholeness. When God calls you to be holy, he is saying ‘be wholly mine’.
I’ve not arrived at being an authentic integrated person, but I hope to get better each day what you see is who I am in the inside
