It’s easy to put a lot of effort into building our status, accumulating possessions or power, but they bring along a lot of anxiety. Building our lives on God’s wisdom, cultivating a relationship with Him brings greater meaning and purpose than any other pursuit.
It is sort of snicking that Pajl had to be specific with wise living to the reader. If he wrote a letter to the average American today, I wonder what topics he might include about wise living. Common sense living gets poisoned when we try to do our own thing as if God wasn’t watching. He designed us to live for Him not ourselves. Applying that ideal takes a life time to flesh out.
