Uncertainty 14

We tend to think education. science, government or medicine will solve the world’s problems. But it seems that when some progress is being made, we discover more problems to resolve. The kingdoms of power, possession and prestige have little influence on the common problem denominator of humans, which is sin. Even though we may know the right thing to do, we do not do it. All of creation and every human groans along with aging of waiting for resolutions. But the book of Revelation is a glimpse of the hope we have in a Kingdom that other kingdoms fail to recognize. One day every knee will bow in surrender. Every heart will recognize that the King of kings has the final say.

“The book of Revelation is for modern-day disciples who have eyes to see the power of the empire in our world and in our churches and in our lives and yours.” - Scot McKnight, Revelation for the Rest of Us
