Mark 4-6

How many times do you and I need to repeat a lesson before it sinks in?  The disciples had to relearn the Jesus’s kingdom is far different than what we usually expect. I’m comforted that Jesus was patient with them, even though He had to ask them blunt questions. May you and I be open to what Hd is showing us about His kingdom and His presence.

Some breakthroughs come not with a bang, but with a repeat. Not in the first prayer, but the persistent one. Not in the first try, but the faith to try again.

There is holy power in repetition when it’s anchored in Jesus.

Forgive again. Pray again. Hope again. Obey again.

Because sometimes, God works not in the new, but in the faithful again.

Don’t despise the repeat. It might be where the miracle is.”

“Questions underscore their inability to hear and understand:

-Why are you talking about having no bread?

-Do you still not perceive or understand?

-Are your hearts hardened? Do you have eyes and fail to see? -Do you have ears and fail to hear?

-Do you not remember? When I broke the five loaves for the five thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect? -And the seven for the four thousand, how many baskets full of broken pieces did you collect?” - Excerpt, Following Jesus: Discipleship in the Gospel of Mark by Steve Langford
